Beyond Grief Support with Linda Dahl Reinhart LCSW

Grief can become complex and complicated such as when loved one’s death was traumatic or on top of other losses or issues. I can help, please reach out to me linda@dahlcares.com or through Dahl Funeral & Cremation Service at

I am Linda Dahl Reinhart LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with three decades of experience as a licensed clinical social worker with intensive training in evidenced based and best practices for effective therapy with a focus on the Grieving Process, Depression, Anxiety and Trauma including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Areas of expertise include trauma, loss, relationship skills and mood issues. I am excited to join Dahl Funeral Chapels in their compassionate care of the bereaved as I am from three generations of Dahls dedicated to ministering to the bereaved.


I am available for individual or grief support. Dahl Funeral & Cremation Services are generously paying for me to do a monthly support group as well as for first screening session for those needing more individual support. For those needing professional therapy for complicated grief, depression, anxiety or trauma/PTSD I am accepting most insurances such as Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Tri Care. I could assist with one’s billing insurance as well as working out private pay. While insurance does not pay for simple bereavement, it does pay for complicated grief, depression, anxiety and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Complicated Grief Signs Include:

  • Denial/sense of disbelief
  • Imagining loved one is alive
  • intrusive thoughts of your beloved, intense longing and yearning
  • Avoiding things that remind you of loved one
  • Extreme anger or bitterness over death
  • Feeling life is empty or meaningless

Symptoms of Depression Include:

  • Pervasive guilt
  • Thoughts of suicide or preoccupation with dying
  • Feeling numb
  • Unable to perform normal daily tasks

Trauma/Post Traumatic Stress Disorder symptoms Include:

  • Re-experiencing symptoms such as flashbacks, reliving event, re-ccurring memories/dreams
  • Avoidance such as avoiding people, places, things
  • Cognitive and mood symptoms.

Linda Dahl Reinhart LCSW

Bereavment Counselor

Linda Dahl Reinhart, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty five years’ experience as a licensed clinical social worker with intensive training in evidenced based and best practices for effective therapy with a focus on the Grieving Process and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Areas of expertise include trauma, loss, relationship skills and mood issues. She was certified as a bereavement counselor in 1995. Linda has intensive training in the researched based methods of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (Life Skills Training, Linda participated in the year- long Elicit Project on “Motivational Interviewing” with focus on collaborating with clients to help them achieve their goals. In 2010 Linda pursued certification in Eye Movement Desensitization Re-processing (EMDR), completing certification in 2012 and has successfully utilized EMDR for Loss and trauma recovery since.


Linda recently retired from a decade of work with the Veterans Administration where she worked as an outpatient therapist and was the Central MT Outpatient Behavioral Health Supervisor. Linda Dahl Reinhart received numerous numerous certifications for treatment proven helpful for conditions that may result from trauma and loss Linda is certified in Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for anxiety and depression. Linda has been certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) that has been found to be effective for posttraumatic stress recovery and other symptoms following traumatic events. Linda is also trained in Prolonged Exposure which is another studied and validated treatment for PTSD


Linda’s clinical social work education includes systems theory and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Washington.


Linda has had intensive training in doing workshops, retreats and in presenting including extensive courses on adult learning on a national level as a national trainer. An experienced conference speaker and trainer, Linda Reinhart’s areas of presentation include: relationship-based practice, working effectively with families, relationship skills, and mental health including the impact and treatment of loss and trauma.
