William #8220;Bill#8221; Rex Farrar, 84, of Bozeman, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2007 at the Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. He was born October 31, 1922 in Terrisita, Missouri to James Rex and Ruth (Williams) Farrar. At an early age his family moved to Montana. Bill graduated from Harlem High School in 1942. Bill was united in marriage to Gloria Marlow on November 19, 1945, shortly after their marriage Bill served in the Unites States Army in Fort Lewis. Following his discharge, Bill and Gloria, settled in Conrad, raising their son, Grant. Bill worked in construction as an Operating Engineer, helping to build roads all over the state of Montana. Later in his career he worked for Montana Power in Colstrip, retiring in 1987. Following his retirement he and Gloria moved to Bozeman. He was a volunteer on the Fort Ellis Fire Department. During his retirement he enjoyed fishing and hunting. One of the highlights in Bills life was his 50th Wedding Anniversary Trip with Gloria, Grant and Danielle to Europe. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Bob Farrar. Survivors include his wife Gloria: his son and daughter-in-law Grant and Danielle of Las Vegas, NV; two grandchildren Jenifer Farrar of Reno, NV and Joe Farrar of Boise, ID; two brothers James Farrar of Great Falls, and Clinton Farrar of Billings; his sister Jean Bryant also of Billings and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.dahlcares.com
