Virginia C. Miller, 102, of the Gallatin Valley, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 25, 2026, at Gallatin Rest Home in Bozeman.
Virginia was born on October 11, 1923, in Bozeman to the homestead family of Jacob Oscar and Vernie Evaline (Bennett) Callantine. She was raised in the Reese Creek area and graduated from Belgrade High School in 1943.
She married Harold James Miller Sr. in Livingston, and together they made their home in the Gallatin Valley. They were blessed with four children: Jim Jr., Sam, Carol, and Leah.
Virginia began her banking career at Whitehall State Bank and later served as a loan officer at Valley Bank of Belgrade. She dedicated many years to her work before retiring at the age of 62.
She enjoyed a full and active life. Her hobbies included camping, fishing, square dancing, and crafting. Virginia especially cherished time spent with her family, who were the center of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Miller Sr.; her son, Jim Miller Jr.; sons-in-law, Jim Armold and Frank Schimetz; daughter-in-law, Janie Miller; and grandsons, John Schimetz, Sammy Miller, and Robert Miller.
Virginia is survived by her children: Sam Miller of Whitehall, MT, Carol Armold of Belgrade, MT, and Leah Schimetz of Belgrade, MT; as well as 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren, with more on the way.

A celebration of Virginia's life will be held at Connect Church, 642 Milky Way Drive, Bozeman, on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, located off the Frontage Road in Belgrade.
Virginia's legacy of faith, hard work, and devotion to family will live on in the many lives she touched.
