Bozeman

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas Michael Lewis (56), who peacefully departed from this world in his home on February 23, 2024. He was the cherished husband of Laurena Lewis, and together, they shared 24 years of a deeply loving and devoted marriage.

Thomas graced the world with his presence in Butte, MT, born to James and Barbara (Richards) Lewis. Butte held his roots, shaping his character as he navigated life. He walked the halls of Butte High School, proudly graduating in ’86. Following his education, he embarked on a journey in the automotive industry, embracing various roles. It was about a decade after graduation when fate intervened through a simple newspaper ad, leading him to someone who captured his heart. Their initial dates blossomed into a love story that prompted a courageous move to Oklahoma with her five children. In '99, amidst life's uncertainties, they exchanged vows, binding their hearts in a love that endured. Together, Thomas and Laurena ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing Just n Time Painting, a testament to their shared dreams and dedication. Despite their success, the call of home beckoned, drawing them back to Montana in ’02, where they found solace in the embrace of Bozeman.

Thomas was not just a man of industry; he was a devoted family man whose greatest joy was found in the company of his children. He led them on countless outdoor adventures, imparting wisdom about wildlife conservation and fostering a passion for the great outdoors. Among his many interests, one of his most recent passions was the exhilarating world of high-speed RC cars.

His memory lives on in the hearts of his beloved spouse, Laurena Lewis; his children, Robert Conklin (Jessie), Michael Francis (Mandy), Thomas Francis, Kayrena Hynes (Joe), Jason Francis (Rita); his brother, James Lewis Jr.; his sisters, Laurel Schaberg (Dennis), Paula Lewis, Sheryl McGuire (Frank); his 12 cherished grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and all who were touched by his kindness. He now reunites with his parents, James Lewis and Barbara Lewis (Richards), in eternal peace.

As we gather to honor and remember the beautiful life of Thomas, let us carry forward the love and warmth he bestowed upon us. A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, June 29th, 2024, a fitting tribute to a man whose love knew no bounds.
