Ralph (Ed) Wilcox was born on January 8, 1949, in Townsend, MT, to Ralph and Katie Wilcox of Three Forks. Ed passed away in Bozeman on June 6, 2026. He spent his younger years living on the Madison with his family. After graduating from Three Forks High School, he attended Montana State University, where he earned a degree in Agriculture. In June 1969, he married the love of his life, Cheryl Knowles, at the Three Forks Methodist Church. They were blessed with four children: Deborah, Rhonda, Crystal, and Ralph. Ed was highly active in the Three Forks Masonic Lodge. He and Cheryl enjoyed spending their summers at the cabin they built at Bald Butte City in the mountains above Marysville, MT, and spent their winters traveling down south.
Preceding him in death were his parents, sister Judy Brandt, and granddaughter Jasmine.
Ed is survived by his wife of 57 years, Cheryl; daughters Deborah (Keith) of Sedona, AZ, Rhonda (Jim) and Crystal (Rod), both of Bozeman; son Ralph of Clinton; six grandchildren; sister Susan (Allen) Watson of Yuma, AZ; brother Jim (Joyce) Wilcox and brother-in-law Barney Brandt, both of Helena and Randy Knowles of Three Forks.
A family gathering will be held later this summer at the cabin.
