Phyllis Ann Flentie, 82, died on Friday, December 26th, 2025, at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital after a long illness. She was born on February 12th, 1943, at Sabetha Community Hospital, daughter of Leon and Gladys Baker of Morrill, Kansas.
Phyllis grew up in Morrill and graduated from Morrill High School in 1961. She attended Marymount College and graduated with a Nursing degree in 1964, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Mary’s of the Plains in 1990. She served others as a nurse for 40 years, and was employed at Sabetha Community Hospital, The Apostolic Christian Home, and Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas.
After retiring in 2005, Phyllis moved to Belton, TX, to seek warmer weather and to be closer to her sister, Judy Rumbaugh. In 2022, Phyllis and Bill moved to Bozeman, MT, to be closer to her son and grandchildren.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, William of Bozeman, MT; son, Michael (Melissa) Flentie of Bozeman, MT; daughter, Marcia (Seth Roberts) Flentie of Houston, TX; and five grandchildren, Noah, Margret, Reagan, Sam and Leo.
