Patricia Williams

Patricia L. Williams was born on June 15, 1946 in Helena, Montana, the youngest of four children to Owen and Ann Warren. She met J. Russell Williams in Junior High. The sweethearts were married on April 20, 1963. They just recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary with their children and their families. She passed away at home with her husband by her side after a brief battle with cancer on Thursday, May 1st. During their marriage, Pat and Russ lived in Helena, Billings, and Butte and then moved to Bozeman in 1972. They raised their children in Bozeman and enjoyed being involved in AAU wrestling, the Bozeman Hawk and MSU Bobcats Booster Clubs. Russ and Pat were also very influential during the planning and building of the Bozeman High Vanwinkle Stadium. She and Russ took great pride in working the head score table for the Bozeman Invitational wrestling tournament for many years. Over the years, she had various occupations. Most recently, she had worked for American Greetings. She was known as the #8220;card lady#8221; at WalMart, Kmart, and Van#8217;s County Market. She loved making ceramic items for her kids and grandkids. Her favorite pastimes were bowling, watching the birds and deer in her backyard, fishing, and family camping trips. One of her greatest joys was spending time playing with her grandkids. Survivors include her loving husband, Russ Williams, children Marsha (Kurt) Engen of Billings, Russ (Jamie) Williams of Great Falls, and Cindy (Blaine) Gilbert of Helena; grandchildren Dexter and Delainey Engen of Billings, Rusty and Amanda Williams of Great Falls and Matt, Jenna, and Treyton Gilbert of Helena; parents Owen and Ann Warren of Helena; brother Rich (Cheryl) Warren of Oregon, sister Rose (Del) Oleson of Townsend, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews. Patty was preceded in death by sister Sally Adams, father-in-law Russ Williams Sr., mother-in-law Rose Ann Williams, sister-in-law Joyce Zarek, brother-in-law Andy Slone, niece Holly Krenik, and nephews Nate Zarek, Kevin Warren, and Curt Williams. A Memorial Tribute will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday May 5th at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Interment will take place at 2:00 pm on Tuesday May 6 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Helena. Memorials may be made in her name to a charity of ones#8217; choice.
