Mary Gertrude Prince

Mary Prince passed away Thursday, June 4, 2026, at home surrounded by family. Mary was born on June 16, 1937, in Buffalo, New York. She married Larry in 1954, and they enjoyed 66 years together. They lived in Western New York from 1937 to 1987 when they moved to Montana. She had a varied career as a homemaker, retail cashier, school bus driver, and yarn shop owner.

She will be remembered for her big smile, warm hugs, and generous hospitality. Within our family, she is famous for her pot roast dinners and apple pies. Mary enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, snowmobiling, and camping. She enjoyed traveling with Larry, and together they visited almost all 50 states and 4 continents. She became a teddy bear collector and acquired over 60 stuffed bears.

Mary is celebrated by her four children, Debbie Prince, Denise Prince & Jim Kallinger, Kathy & Sonny Madan, and Don & Chauntelle Prince. Her family includes 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
