Marla Claudette Wesen

Marla was born in Bismark, ND on May 13, 1947, to Cliff and Toline Kensmoe of McClusky, ND. Marla grew up in the McClusky area and attended McClusky schools, graduating in 1965. Marla continued her education at Jamestown College in Jamestown, ND, where she received a degree in music in 1969. She taught music in the Chicago area, before moving to Bozeman, MT in 1971. In Bozeman she worked several jobs before becoming a realtor. She married Daniel W. Wesen on May 21st, 1980. Their only son John was born on December 17, 1983. After Johns birth she took a job at Montana State University. After several promotions she accepted an office manager job in Civil and Ag Engineering. She held this position until she retired in 2013. She always enjoyed hunting and fishing with her family. After retirement she even enjoyed a trip to Alaska site seeing and fishing. Marla was preceded in death by her father Cliff and her Mother Toline. She is survived by her husband Daniel and her son John, Sister Beverly Reiswig (Ron) and beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members. The Wesen family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Enhabit Hospice for all of their effort above and beyond the call of duty, for their care of Marla. 

A celebration of life will be taking place on July 9th, 2024, at Dahl Funeral & Cremation Service at 11:00am. Please join the family for a reception following the service.
