We share the sad news that Linda A. Sloan, 74, of West Yellowstone, Montana, passed away on November 19, 2025, at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska, to Phyllis and Joe Frank.

Linda graduated from Westside High School (1969) before earning a B.A. from the University of Missouri (1973) and both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from Montana State University. She was a teacher’s aide in West Yellowstone and later taught freshman English in Willcox, Arizona.

Linda was known for her love of reading, her passion for Jeopardy, and her dynamic, inspirational influence on her students. She was a long-time West Yellowstone resident with her husband, Lee Sloan.

She is survived by her loving husband, Lee Sloan, and her nieces and nephew: Nichole Flatowicz, Rachel Flatowicz, Sarah Howard, and Brian Wiseman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phyllis and Joe Frank, and her siblings.
