Judith Lynnette Sangray

Aug 18, 1958 — Jul 2, 2026

Judith “Judy” Lynnette Sangray, 67, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on July 2nd, 2026 surrounded by her three children. Judy was born August 18th, 1958 in Clancy, Montana to Constance (“Connie”) and Andrew (“Rand”) Sangray. Judy was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend whose unwavering love, humor and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Judy was a proud mother to three beautiful children: Andrew, Kelsey and Madison. Being a mother was her life’s joy and something she deemed as her highest accomplishment. Everything she did accompanied a consideration and thought of her children, loving and caring for them through all of her life’s journeys was her main constant. Judy ensured those around her felt her love and sense of humor at all times. She was quick to offer a meal (or a famous Judy-Sandwich), a laugh or a listening ear to those that needed it. She always sought out an opportunity for fun and joy alongside her friends and family, her legendary one-liners will live on with those that knew her best. Judy worked as a Court Reporter, talented Medical Transcriptionist and retired as a Care Coordinator for the Fort Harrison VA Medical Center in Helena, Montana. She was a dedicated professional in whatever career path she found herself in and took great pride in the role she played for Montana’s veterans. Judy is survived by her son, Andrew, daughters Kelsey (David) and Madison (Jacob). She is also survived by her father, Rand Sangray and sister Cindy Sangray Jones (Walt). She is also survived by her five grandchildren: Gaige (16), Aubrey (5), Palmer (5), Hudson (3) and Marley (1). Judy is preceded in death by her grandmother, Hazel Munroe, mother, Connie Sangray, nieces Judiann Jones and Nicole Jones Watson and her beloved dog, Meggie Jo. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
