Joseph Kruzic, Jr.

Joseph Edward Kruzic, Jr., 77, of Bozeman, Montana, passed peacefully June 25, 2025.

Joseph was born in Berwyn, IL, one of three children of Joseph, Sr. and Marie (Adamczyk) Kruzic. The family lived in Downers Grove and Schaumburg, IL. Joseph graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Civil Engineering and worked in Sales Engineering for public works organizations. When he wasn’t working, Joseph was involved with the Nordic Fox Ski Club and the St. Charles Canoe Club. He also enjoyed hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing.

Joseph married Marlene Brandys in 1970, and they raised two children, moving from Illinois to West Yellowstone, and eventually, Bozeman, Montana. Joseph enjoyed music from the ‘50s to the ‘70s, old cars, car shows, and trains. His favorite car was his 1970 Buick Skylark named “Old Paint”.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marlene; daughter, Kimberly (Edward) Dasbach, of Bartlett, IL; son, Jamie Kruzic (Lena Etuk), of Sydney, Australia; and sisters, Dawn Pierce, and Diane (Clyde) Hollister.
