James 'Jimmer' Cusick

James W. (Jimmer) Cusick, Jr., born April 24, 1955, the second of 5 children born to Jim and Ruth Cusick, died August 29, 2011. Although isolated by his lifelong illness of autism, he was known to his family and to his caregivers as a profoundly lovable and affectionate man. Without expressing himself by language, Jimmer was able to communicate his feelings, pleasures and deep attachment to those who loved him. Jimmer's father described him as our angel, the person whose life circumstances deeply affected and were central to all decisions made for the common good of the family. Jimmer is missed by his sisters Cassie Cusick Cameron, Connie Cusick, Mary Castaneda, and his brother Mike Cusick. The family expresses their heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff at Fairview Developmental Center who cared for Jimmer for so many years. Memorial donations are suggested to the Fairview Developmental Center Resident Benefit Fund, Program 6, 2501 Harbor Blvd., Costa Mesa CA 92626. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Fri. Sept. 9 at 10 am at Resurrection Parish in Bozeman, MT. Jimmer was greatly loved and his memory will be cherished.
