Heather Jean Prelat

Heather Jean Prelat of Bozeman, Montana went to be with our Lord Saturday afternoon, November 15, 2008 at her home. Heather was born on June 29, 1971 and was raised in Missoula, Montana. Heather spent her adult life in both Missoula and Bozeman, moving to Bozeman in 2001. She was preceded into the heavenly kingdom by her mother Sheryl Prelat and her beloved grandmother, Ether Jean Prelat. She is survived by her special best friend Brett Phillips and his mother Gwen Phillips, aunts Barbara and Ellen Schmidt and their children, cousins Ashley, Kevin, Andy, and Brad. Everyone that met Heather fell immediately in love with her. She was a humble, gentle, compassionate woman who loved life and others #8211; a free spirit. Heather was a noble woman who faced much pain and illness throughout her life. A type 1 childhood diabetic, Heather had numerous ailments that left her physically disabled. Although physically disabled, Heather was an inspiration of mind and spirit. With all the pain and suffering Heather endured, she never wanted anyone to share in her suffering. She lived selflessly and without complaint. Noble, courageous, and especially kindhearted were the words used to describe her by everyone. Heather radiated a fairy-like quality and delighted in beauty and personal creativity, especially making gifts for others. A service and celebration will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bozeman Teaching Center located at 2308 Durston Road, Bozeman, MT.
