George "Scott" Lambert

September 23, 1957 — January 18, 2026

Pony

George Scott Lambert passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026. Scotty was born on September 23, 1957, in Bozeman, MT, to Dell and Annabell (Wortman) Lambert.

Scotty grew up in Manhattan, MT, working alongside his father, Dell, on the family ranch. He attended Manhattan High School, where he played football and basketball for the Tigers. Scotty graduated from Manhattan High School in 1975. He attended the University of Montana Western to continue his football career, but moved home shortly after the start of the semester to help on the ranch.

Scotty married Brenda Vander Molen in 1987, and they welcomed their two boys, Connor & Tanner, in 1989.

He began working at the Trident Cement Plant in 1982 and enjoyed a 31-year career there. He also continued his love of football by taking on a coaching position with the Manhattan Tigers for 10 years. In 1996, he and the boys moved to Harrison, MT. He followed his lifelong dream and purchased the Pony Bar in 2001. He enjoyed serving the community and making friends alongside his life partner, Paula Lambert, for 17 years.

He retired at the age of 55 and continued helping around the community and doing what he loved most - enjoying the company of his patrons, working cattle at Montana Livestock Auction with some of his closest friends, and making sure that everyone in the community was always taken care of.

His Grandchildren became the highlight of his days, and spending time with them was what he enjoyed most.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dell & Annabell Lambert.

Scotty is survived by his wife, Paula; Sister, Patty Dworshak of Belgrade; Sons, Connor (Jaci) Lambert and son Cort, and Tanner (Hannah) Lambert and children Addison, Lincoln, & Collin all of Harrison, and bonus kids Randee (Donny) Ragland of Laurel, Mandy (Joe) Husar and son Luke of Harrison; Niece Jolene (Chad) Guenther, and their children of Belgrade.
