Franklin David Bezold, 94, passed away peacefully at the Southwest Montana Veterans Home located in Butte, Montana, on Thursday, July 3, 2025. He was born on February 12, 1931, to George and Vera (Harmer) Bezold in Philadelphia, PA. Frank was their only child.
Frank and his wife Irene met when they were 14 years old in school and were married when they were 22 years old, on March 14, 1953. They celebrated 69 years of marriage in March of 2022. Frank and Irene had two children, four grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Frank enlisted in the Army in August of 1948 during the Korean War; he was 17 years old. After serving his country, he was Honorably Discharged in June 1952. As a civilian, he was a security guard, a police officer, and a detective. His passion was to be a Firefighter since he was a young boy, so Frank decided to go to Firefighter school. When he retired at the age of 55, Frank was a Captain at the fire department in Fort Dix, New Jersey.
Frank and Irene moved to West Yellowstone, Montana, in 1989, to enjoy their retirement together.
They both liked to keep busy even after retiring, so he worked in the Park and in the Social Services office, and Irene worked part-time cleaning rooms in the Motels in West Yellowstone.

He is survived by his daughter, Debbie (Bob) Batal of Brussels, WI; son, Dave Bezold (Geralyn Leddy) of King of Prussia, PA; grandchildren, Heather Lasecki of Appleton WI, Paul Lasecki of Weyauweega, WI, Ryan (Courtney) Batal of Green Bay, WI, and Jesse (Julie) Batal of Green Bay, WI; great-grandchildren, Jaydon Lasecki, Ethan Lasecki, Kiara Lasecki and Piper Lasecki of Weyauweega, WI, Tahya Batal, Ashton Batal, Kendall Batal, Keirstyn Batal and Kenzlee Batal of Green Bay, WI.
