Esther Lantz was born January 1, 1929, in Terry, Montana to Rudolph and Adelia (Brandner) Dickhoff. Her parents lived seven miles north of Fallin, Montana. In 1938, the family moved to the Fairfield Bench 35 miles west of Great Falls, Montana. Esther had five brothers and one sister.
On June 30, 1961, she married Reuben Lantz. They had one son, Stephen, born on December 8, 1964. They have one granddaughter Sarah.
Esther attended and graduated from the following schools: Fairfield High School, Bethany Bible College, Columbus School of Nursing, College of Great Falls and Montana State College.
She has been employed in the following: California Compensation Company, Washington State Evaluation Department, Columbus School of Nursing, Montana State Hospital, Montana State Department of Health, Montana Deaconess Hospital in Great Falls, Regional Medical Program. She retired from nursing in January 1994.
The names of her siblings and spouses are as follows: Donald and Joyce (Turner) Dickhoff, David and Ingelborg (Hollo) Dickhoff, Marlene (Dickhoff) and John Sutton, Arthur, and Sharon (Steel) Dickhoff, Richard and Marilyn (Asmus) Dickhoff and Robert and Shirley (Asmus) Dickhoff.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, brothers, Donald, David, Arthur and Robert. In-laws: Joyce Dickhoff, Phoebe (Lantz) Borgstrom, Gus Borgstrom, Paul Jones Sr., Rhonda (Lantz) Jones, Jess Lantz, and Margaret (Flanigan) Lantz.
She has many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Her hobbies were music, reading and volunteering in various health related fields and teaching Bible Classes. Her goal was to please and honor God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
