Erik Flynn Restvedt

February 25, 1971 — March 20, 2024

Bozeman

We are deeply saddened to announce that our beloved family member and friend, Erik “Rick” Flynn Restvedt, passed away peacefully before his time, on March 20th, 2024, at age 53.

Rick was born in Bozeman, MT, on February 25th, 1971, to parents, Larry and Norine Restvedt. He shares siblings, Scott (Loni), Dirk, and Heidi (Jay), and has many cherished nieces and nephews, Courtney, Tyler, Ryan, Troy, Cory, Cameron, Kyley, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by his three sons, Reece, Rhiley, and Reagan Restvedt. Finally, he is survived by his beloved wife, Marcie, stepdaughter, Heather, and grandbaby, Iris. Everyone loved and cared deeply for Rick. His unexpected passing has left a profound hole in our lives and hearts.

Rick attended Bozeman High School and his love of baseball earned him a scholarship as a pitcher to both Shoreline Community College, in Seattle, WA, and Treasure Valley College, in Ontario, WA. He went on to work in several trades and later, transitioned into sales. Rick was charismatic and never met a stranger. He had a wicked sense of humor and was always open to sharing a laugh with others; a distinct laugh that we’ll never forget. Rick was deeply loved by his childhood friends, with whom he remained very close over the years. All his friendships meant more than anything to him. Rick was kind and generous with his time, had a profound love of animals, enjoyed sports, riding motorcycles, shooting guns, and fishing with family and friends. Rick was fallible, but loveable all the same, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he be at peace.

We will honor Rick’s life by hosting a celebration of life in his memory on April 20th, 2024, details to follow at a later date.

“Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands, it hopes we've learned something from yesterday.” -John Wayne
