Edward Merle Wrzesinski was born on October 27, 1945, to Casimer and Blanche (Spearin) Wrzesinski and raised on the Wrzesinski family homestead in the Snowy Mountains of Montana. He passed on to the next great adventure on May 4, 2023.
In 1963, he joined the United States Navy in the early days of the Vietnam War and served two tours on the U.S.S. Ranger in the print shop. In the mid-1970s, Ed took his printing career to San Francisco and eventually opened his own printing company, Barbary Coast Press. Ed married Debra McNeill in May 1990.
Shortly after their wedding, the couple moved briefly to Honolulu, but then returned to Montana in 1992 to start a family. They welcomed their first child, Tess, in 1994. In 1996, they returned to California and in 2002, they were blessed with the adoption of their second daughter, Beth.
They returned to Twin Bridges in 2004 to raise Tess and Beth in a small-town environment. Ed spent much of his time after the move designing a line of western watercolor greeting cards and creating landscape and still life oil paintings. In later years, Ed began driving bus for the Twin Bridges school district. He loved the long trips across Montana and was hugely popular with the kids on the daily routes through the Ruby Valley. After moving to Bozeman in 2016, Ed continued to drive bus for Karst Stage, Bozeman's Streamline city bus services, until he retired in 2021.
Ed’s favorite pastimes were good books, listening to great songwriters, and art. On nice days you could spot him heading down to the river with a fishing pole or out to the golf course with a good friend. More than anything, Ed relished being a father and loved spending time with his daughters including taking road trips and attending nearly all of their school events.
Ed is survived by his wife, Debra; daughters, Tess (Mario) and Beth; sisters, Cora and Donna; sister-in-law, Judy; nieces and nephews, Ellen (Denny), Karen, Larry (Cherri), John, David, Joy (Dennis), Pete (Becky), Hayes (Carrie), Lexi (Taylor), Fawn, Joe, Jenny, Jamie (Shana), Jeff, Davin; and many great nieces and nephews and their children.
Ed was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Joyce; and his brothers Joe, Don and Dave.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 17th at 1pm at the Blue Anchor Café in Twin Bridges. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Twin Bridges Historical Association, PO Box 227, Twin Bridges, MT 59754 or CASA of Gallatin County (gallatincountycasagal.org).
