Belgrade

Daniel M. Weaver, 85, of Belgrade, passed away on January 25, 2026. Born in Logan, MT, on May 24, 1940, to Alexander and Allegra (Florine Aldrich) Weaver, Daniel was a member of the first class to graduate from the new Bozeman High School in 1958.

Following graduation, Daniel served in the US Army from 1958 to 1961. After his honorable discharge, he joined the carpenters' union and worked for Taylor Construction, Edsall Construction, and Martel Construction until his retirement in 2006.

He married the love of his life, Janet (Martin) Weaver, on May 24, 1963, in Billings. This was the only day he had off work, as it coincided with his birthday.

Daniel was a proud Montanan and took great pride in his family's history as early pioneers in the Montana Territory. He was a dedicated member of American Legion Post #14 and played an instrumental role in the design and reconstruction of the American Legion building following the 2009 explosion. An avid football fan, he cheered for the Green Bay Packers, Ohio State, and the MSU Bobcats. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sporting events, maintaining his yard, and staying fit. He deeply loved his family and was known for his faithfulness in sending cards to stay connected.

Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Janet (Martin) Weaver. He is survived by his son, Marty (Rebecca) Weaver of Belgrade; daughter, Dana (Randall) Reeve of Dutton; and grandchildren, Amanda (Brandon) Horoho, Amber (Kendall) Denham, and Aidan Reeve.

He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; his brothers, David (Phyllis) Weaver of Billings and Andrew (Dell) Weaver of Austin, TX; sister, Alexis Weaver McGroarty of Dundalk, Ireland; aunt, Lois Weaver Dyk of Houston, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

No services will be held at this time.
