Constance "Connie" Wilde Haas

June 12, 1932 — February 13, 2026

Constance “Connie” Wilde Haas, 93, of Bozeman, MT, was called to her heavenly home by her Lord and Savior on Feb. 13, 2026.

Connie was born on June 12, 1932, to Clarence and Ruby Wilde in Chicago, IL. After graduating from Calmut High School in 1950, she attended Oklahoma State University and began studying Home Economics. There she met the love of her life, Bob Haas (1928-2005) of Cleburne, Texas. They were married on September 12, 1953.

Connie put her college education on pause to raise her family. Many wonderful meals were enjoyed around the family dining table. She always made sure there were mixing beaters to lick clean before the baking went into the oven. She could often be seen helping her sons with a Boy Scout project or two.

After spending several years in Idaho, Bob and Connie moved to College Station, TX. In addition to raising a family, she also worked as a Technical Editor for the Thermodynamics Research Center at Texas A&M to help support the family while Bob was completing his doctorate degree.

Determined to complete her college education, she attended Texas A&M University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Spanish in 1973. Connie and Bob then moved to Sioux Falls, SD, where she enjoyed working with 17+ year olds, helping them to achieve their GEDs.

In retirement, they moved to Hamilton, MT, and became very active with Laborers for Christ, traveling around the country to help various congregations build or renovate churches. Connie and Bob enjoyed 51 years of marriage.

Connie is survived by her two sons, Fred and wife Kari of Bozeman, MT, and Martin and wife Sue of Belgrade, MT; grandchildren, Kirsten (husband Mark), Kirk (wife Hallie), and Alan (wife Vicky); and five great-grandchildren.

The burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton, MT.
