Connie Marie Zarr

Connie Marie Zarr, 73, of Belgrade, passed away December 21, 2023, after having complications from Breast Cancer. Connie was born July 18, 1950, in Glendive, MT, to Robert & Bonnie Ward. Connie grew up in MT & WA, graduating high school in 1968 in Centralia, WA. After high school Connie attended Cosmetology school in Billings, MT.

Connie met Donald Zarr in the summer of 1970 in Bozeman and they were married February 22, 1971. Connie & Don lived in Billings & Belgrade, MT, finally settling in Belgrade. In July of 1974 they welcomed their son, Cory & in April of 1977 their daughter, Jaime.

Connie worked many jobs but found her career at the Belgrade schools. For 20+ years she was the head cook at the elementary school & then, for most of her career, at the middle school. Connie loved her job & was very good at it. She gained many friends while working there.

Connie’s passion was first & foremost her family. Connie loved her family with all her being. Together they enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, horseback riding, traveling & just being together.

Connie has four grandchildren that were her whole world. She would stop whatever she was doing if they needed anything! She attended every birthday, play, concert, or special event that she could. Xavier, Hannah, Abigail, & Reece will miss her dearly.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Bonnie Ward & her sister, Normajean Bingley.

Connie is survived by her husband, Don of almost 53 years; brother, Robin (Viki) Ward; sister, Linda Ward; son, Cory (Shelley) Zarr; daughter, Jaime (Andy) Lessley; four grandchildren, Xavier, Hannah, Abigail, Reece & numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked you make a donation to The Ronald McDonald house in Salt Lake, to Breast Cancer research or any charity of your choice.

A Celebration of Connie’s Life will be held at 2PM on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Dahl Funeral & Cremation Service, with refreshments served afterwards. Connie will be laid to rest at Dawson Memorial Cemetery in Glendive, MT.
