Bart Bauer

February 15, 1959 — January 16, 2024

Bart Bauer, 64, of Bozeman, MT, passed away on January 16, 2024. Bart was predeceased by his loving wife, Linda Bauer, on August 9, 2023. Bart and Linda were married on September 29, 2001. Bart, born in Concord, CA was the son of Robert and Marilyn Bauer. Linda was born at Loring AFB, Maine, the daughter of Warren and Patricia Little. Both were raised in CA.

Upon high School graduation, Bart attended Eastern Montana College in Billings, MT to play basketball for Coach Dick Edwards and pursue a professional basketball career. He was inducted into the MSU Billings Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008. Linda joined the airline industry to travel the world for ten years. Bart graduated college and returned to the S.F. Bay Area to pursue a paralegal career. Linda and Bart were introduced to one another by long-time friend Jon Edwards. It was love at first sight.

Linda moved to the Bay Area and attended the S.F. Culinary Arts School. She became an excellent skilled chef. Once married, Bart and Linda lived and worked in CA, NV, and OR. Bart specialized in sales and marketing in the sports and outdoor industry. Linda became an Executive Chef for river and backcountry outfitters and local businesses.

Bart is survived by his sister and brother-in-law of AZ, nephew and family in CA, and niece and family in ID. Linda is survived by her father, Warren Little of Missoula; MT, brother, Douglas Little of Wilsonville, OR; and relatives Mr. and Mrs. P. Holland of Billings, MT. Bart and Linda are also survived by loving family friends, Jon and Suzanne Edwards and family of Bozeman, MT. The Bauers were honored and proud to be God Parents to Jack Edwards.
