Barbara O'Neill

Barbara Ann O’Neill, 71, of Bozeman, MT, passed away on April 19, 2024, from a sudden heart attack. 

 

Born in New York on February 4,1953, Barbara grew up in the Flushing neighborhood of Queens, NY, and graduated from Maria Regina High School in 1971. She received her degree in nursing from Columbia University in 1976, and later earned a Master of Business Administration from University of Denver. Barbara deeply cared for her patients as a home healthcare nurse with Colorado Visiting Nurse Association.

 

After moving to Bozeman in 2016, Barbara volunteered at the Gallatin Valley Food Bank, Bozeman Senior Center, Fork and Spoon, and Bozeman Library. She loved plants, animals, oceans, and art, but most of all she loved her family. 

 

Barbara is survived by her two children, Alex Tenenbaum, of Boulder, CO, and Charlie Tenenbaum, of Portland, OR. She was predeceased by her father, John O’Neill; her mother, Rhoda O’Neill; her sister, Sr. Karen O’Neill; and her brother, John T. O’Neill.

 

A memorial service in Barbara’s honor will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024, 3:00 p.m., at Dahl Funeral & Cremation Service, 300 Highland Blvd., Bozeman. A reception will immediately follow the service.
