Alfred Charles Stoffel, age 87, of Belgrade, MT passed away January 8th, 2017. Alfred was born in Sedalia, Missouri on December 9th, 1929 to parents Alfred and Hazel Stoffel. After Alfred successfully completed high school, he enlisted in the Navy, faithfully serving his country aboard the Toledo Air Craft Carrier in World War II. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from University if Missouri where he applied his natural intelligence whole-heartedly to his academic pursuits. In 1999, Alfred met Daniela Lewkowicz and the two were later married in Bozeman, MT.

Alfred enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, and skiing. He was an especially gifted skier, winning many titles. Alfred will be most remembered for his warm wit and intelligence, as he was often distinguished in his academic circles. He was a loving husband and a proud father.

Alfred is preceded in death by his parents Alfred Sr. and Hazel. He is survived by his wife Daniela of Belgrade, MT; son Erik Stoffel of Butte, MT; and daughter Alisa Carter of Washington. No services are planned at this time. Alfred was the last of the true gentlmen.
