Willard Hahn Sr. February 9, 1934 #8211; May 15, 2008 Willard Hahn Sr., 74, of Loveland, Colorado passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at his home. He was born on February 9, 1934 to Jake and Amelia Hahn in Billings, Montana. He lived all his life in Montana until three years ago, when he retired in the fall of 2006 and moved to Loveland, Colorado where he met and married Barbara Hahn on June 11, 2005. His passion and joy was farming, and it showed in the crops that he produced. He was in one of the first groups of people to begin the water patrol, approximately late 60#8217;s or early 70#8217;s, in Columbus, Montana that continued after he left the area. He also loved to fly every chance that he got, and buzz his friends on the ground. He enjoyed horseback riding. His greatest accomplishment in the last two years was that he was learning how to ride cutting horses. He also loved working with wood and making furniture, and he loved to hunt, fish and golf. He loved to show off the tricks that he taught his and Barb#8217;s dog, such as rolling over, playing dead, and hide-n-seek. Willard loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and visiting with his many friends in the Bozeman and Belgrade area. Survivors include his wife Barb; his four children: son, Willard Hahn Jr. (Naomi) from Grand Lake, Colorado, daughter, Gloria Junker (Dale) from Sebeka, Minnesota; son, Rodney Hahn (Jeannette) from Belgrade, Montana, and daughter, Sherry (James) Hopper from Fort Worth, Texas. He had eight grandchildren: Justin (Sheree) Hahn, Ashley Hahn, both from Grand Lake, Colorado, Nicolas Hahn from Montrose, Colorado, Christina (Greg) Gaub from Belgrade, Montana, Melissa (Brian) Duneman from Belgrade, Montana, Deb (Russ) Lamon, Bemidji, MN; Kim Thomas, Albert Lea, MN; and Dennis Junker, Sebeka, MN; and six great grandchildren; Trey Hahn, Grand Lake, Colorado; Brook Hahn, Grand Lake, Colorado; Colter Duneman, Belgrade, Montana; Kendra Duneman, Belgrade, Montana; Kaytlynn Gaub, Belgrade, Montana; Austin Gaub, Belgrade, Montana, as well as children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren from his life with Barb in Loveland, Colorado. He had three sisters: Carol Labor from Montana, Mabel Helzer from Montana, Jeannie Eckhardt from Texas. His parents and sister, Carol Labor, preceded him in death. There will be a private burial service at his parents#8217; cemetery in Billings, Montana on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Dahl Funeral Chapel in Bozeman, Montana. Honorary pallbearers are Nicolas Hahn, Justin Hahn, Greg Gaub, Brian Duneman, Mark Bernhardt, Loveland, Colorado; and Evert Egbert, Belgrade, Montana.
