Wilbur Phillips, 78, of Three Forks passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2008. He was born on November 19, 1929 to William and Mae Brandt in Peoria, Illinois. Wilbur served in the Navy for 22 years, and lived in Virginia Beach, Virginia until he retired. He loved hunting and fishing. Coming to Montana was a real joy for him, not only because of the vast hunting and fishing, but also because of his son John; grandchildren John, Lynda, and Kimberly; and great-grandchildren Josalynn, Vincent, and Mary. Wilbur was also involved in Ham Radio and the Military Amateur Radio Society. Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Betty, and one sister Betty. He is survived by his wife Leticia Phillips, son John (Surale) Phillips of Three Forks, Montana, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, and one brother, Harry Phillips. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials in Wilbur#8217;s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
