Veronica Geiger Wetsch (93) passed away July 9, 2011 at the Gallatin County Rest Home where she has resided for the past 3 years. Veronica was born on the family homestead West of Glendive Montana on July 21, 1917, the fifth of seven children to Monica and Pius Geiger. She then attended a nine month secretary program at Bozeman Tech School and was hired at MSU at the School of Nursing as a secretary to the professors. She worked there until her retirement in 1978 and then became active with the Bozeman Senior Center and Retired Senior and Volunteer Program. Veronica enjoyed traveling, crocheting, playing bingo at the Bozeman Senior Center and playing cards with her lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and all six siblings. She is survived by her four children: Bruce Wetsch and wife Judy, Jacksonville FL; Janice Smolinski and husband Mark, Petoskey, MI; Neil Wetsch and wife Debbie, Albuquerque, NM and Kristi Wetsch of Bozeman.
