Susan Schaff

Sue Schaff, 63, of Bozeman passed away on July 17, 2008. She was born on July 15th, 1945 in Junction City, Kansas. She spent her early years in Kansas before moving to Columbus, Montana where she was a graduate of Columbus High School. Sue was a retired Montana State University employee. At MSU, she first started working in the Library and eventually worked to the position of a Programmer Analyst in the Business Office. She retired from MSU in 1993. Since that time she had been active in the Parish of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Church Women United, and Foresters. She also made multiple Mission trips to Mexico to help the underprivileged. Sue was preceded in death by her Father and Mother (Vern and Bertha Huff); sister Barbra Wagner, and a brother Gene Huff. Sue was married for 44 years to Bernard and they had two sons and 5 grandchildren, Alan Chris Schaff of Easley, SC and their two children Taylor (12) and Aaron (10); Kevin Schaff of Santa Rosa, CA and his two children Haley (14), Kyle (10) and Justin Hultman (22) of Belgrade; 2 sisters Karen Atkins of Columbus, MT, Connie (Bob) Farmstead of Absarokee, MT; brother Ron Huff of Greybull, WY; mother-in-law Agnes Schaff of Fishtail, MT and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws Sue loved to volunteer her time in service of those in need and spend time with her grandchildren in California and South Carolina. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in her honor to the American Lung Association, 61 Broadway, New York, NY 10006. A Rosary service will be held Sunday, July 20, at 6:30 PM, with a Vigil at 7:00 PM at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, July 21 at 10:00 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with interment of the urn to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
