Shirley Geremia

September 18, 1938 — February 20, 2011

Shirley Ann Dwyer Geremia Shirley was born September 18, 1938 in Great Falls, MT the daughter of Mabel Blanche Herbert Dwyer and John Anthony Dwyer and grew up in Butte, MT. She was preceded in death by her brother Louis Dwyer, Sister Phyllis Dwyer Utoff, and her beloved husband Louie Geremia. She is survived by her sister Lois Dwyer Miller, of Anchorage Alaska, and four daughters Jaqueline (Andrew) Burden, Katherine (Daniel) Pittenger, Teresa (John) Geremia-Chart, and Angela (Steve) Mahoney. Shirley moved and traveled extensively throughout the US raising her family and supporting her husband. She returned to the Montana she loved in 1977. She was a strong, caring, independent spirit and loved Montana#8217;s mountains and rivers where she enjoyed long walks, camping, and fishing. She was an avid (book a day) reader and expert seamstress. She was the first family foodie and enjoyed winning at card games. Shirley passed her love of these things to her daughters, nine grand children, and 4 great grand children. A public visitation will be held at Dahl Funeral Chapel from 11am until 2pm on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Memorials may be made in Shirley#8217;s name to Bozeman Deaconess Foundation/Hospice of Southwest Montana, 1600 Ellis Suite 3A, Bozeman, Montana 59715.
