Roseva Boucher

Roseva Dorris Boucher, 92, of Manhattan, Montana passed away Monday, November 16, 2009 in Belgrade, Montana. She was born February 25, 1917 in Pennville, Missouri to Pearl and Goldie Herndon. When Roseva was six weeks old, the family moved to Belmont, Montana. She attended schools in Belmont, Bozeman, and Manhattan. In 1934, Roseva married and moved to Logan, Montana where she worked at the Northern Pacific lunchroom as a combination cook and waitress. She was also the timekeeper and pumper foreman for the Northern Pacific Railroad. In 1937, she attended Melba#8217;s Beauty Academy in Lansing, Michigan and returned to Bozeman in 1938 to finish her schooling at Anderson#8217;s Beauty School. Roseva operated the first beauty shop in Manhattan, where she employed three other operators. She also enjoyed bowling. Roseva went to California in 1941, where she married Jack Boucher. While there, she worked as a Journeyman Burner in the shipyards from 1942 to 1944. Together, Jack and Roseva raised four children, Barbara, Jack, Gene, and Joanne. Roseva was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, and seven siblings, Edna, Shorty, Harold, Gene, Vernon, Ralph, and Gerald. Survivors include her children, Jody (Rick) Rickman, Jack Leroy (Vici) Boucher, Gene (Helen) Boucher, and Joanne Leona Sharpe; grandchildren, Douglas Rickman, Ronald Rickman, Jackie Rickman, Jamie Boucher, Robert Boucher, Steven Boucher, Danny Marshall, Denise Dooley, and Darcy Corbett; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Marjorie Matthis, Marguerite Campbell, and Wilma Harrison. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Memorials in Roseva#8217;s name may be made to Rocky Mountain Hospice, 301 Edelweiss #5, Bozeman, MT 59718.
