Rollene Laura Thill

Rollene Clifton Thill passed away peacefully at St. Vincent’s Hospital on June 7, 2014 at the age of 80. She was born on September 12, 1933 in Wenewoc, Wisconsin, where she spent her early childhood. She later moved to South Dakota, graduating from Timber Lake High School. Rollene and Joe married on June 1, 1953 in Timber Lake, SD. In 1956 they moved to Bozeman, MT, where they spent many happy years together raising their five children. She worked in retail for many years and retired as a bookkeeper for JC Penny. Rollene loved family get-togethers, playing cards, camping, fishing, and traveling. She enjoyed her time as a den mother for Cub Scouts. She also made many blankets, quilts, coats, and sweaters for her family, which will be cherished for years to come. Rollene is survived by: her husband Joe; daughter Marsha; sons Leland (Renee) and Roger (Julie), all of Bozeman; son Marvin (Marianne) of Lake Stevens, WA; son Rodney (Marcie) of Marysville, WA; and grandchildren Andrea, Mollie, Aaron, Josh, Jon, April, and Ryan. Visitation will be held at 5:00 pm on Thursday, June 12, 2014 followed by a Vigil Service at 6:00 pm, both at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, followed by interment at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
