Robert Sarrazin

Please come and join us in celebrating the life for Robert Laurent Sarrazin, 11:00 am Monday at Livingston Christian Center, 1400 Mount Baldy Drive. Bob was born July 14, 1944 in Livingston Montana to August and Margaret (Morrison) Sarrazin. He went to grade school at the Cown School, and later went to school in Clyde Park, where he graduated from high school. He enlisted in the Army and went through the Basic Training, but later returned to the family ranch on Shields River, south of Clyde Park. He married Mary (Kremper) Vander Voort and they lived in Clyde Park. He bought the sawmill in Clyde Park, and ran Sarrazin Lumber for a number of years before going to work for the State of Montana Highway Department. He retired from the Highway Department in 2006. All through his years he was involved with his horses and cows which he enjoyed very much. He loved Team Roping and this was truly his passion. He was a true cowboy, and loved every minute of it. He had numerous other jobs in his lifetime, including custom combining, custom haying, and always helping his family on the ranch, or helping out anyone else who needed help. Survivors include his daughter Bobbi Jo Sarrazin(John Jarvis) of Livingston MT; two stepsons, John( Debbie) Vander Voort of Midwest WY, Charley (Robin) Vander Voort of Helena MT; his sister Marjorie(Ray) Sundling of Livingston MT; 7 Grandchildern. Jade and Keegan (Twister) Sarrazin-Jarvis, Robert (Megan) Vander Voort, Rachel Vander Voort, Brandon( Traycee) Vander Voort, Lacey Vander Voort, Jessica(Zack) Johnson; two Great grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents, one brother( Dan), a stepson,(Jim), and a nephew (Stacy). He will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family, and especially all of his team roping buddies, especially by his horse Joe. Visitation will be from noon to 4:00 pm, Saturday July 12, 2008 at Dahl Funeral Chapel in Bozeman. A celebration of Bob#8217;s Life will be 11:00 am Monday, July 14 at the Livingston Christian Center 1400 Mount Baldy Drive in Livingston.
