Pauline Kirscher

March 30, 1929 — December 17, 2011

Pauline Kirscher died peacefully in her home Saturday morning December 17, 2011. Mass of the Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, in Belgrade at Valley of Flowers Catholic Church celebrated by Father Eric Gilbaugh, followed with burial next to dad at Calvary Cemetery in Livingston. Casket bearers are her loving children and grandchildren. Pauline was born March 30, 1929 in New England, North Dakota to Vincent and Rose Jahner. Mom came to Montana at the age of 19 and married Vernon Kirscher two years later on February 20, 1950 in Livingston, Montana where they farmed and ranched in the Shields Valley near Clyde Park until 1968. They then moved to Clyde Park where mom was the secretary at the Clyde Park High School. We can venture to guess that there are many a student that fondly remember the kindness and words of encouragement that mom gave them daily or a parent who wouldn#8217;t remember her smiles while taking tickets at all the sporting events in the gym. In 1975 mom and dad moved to Coeur D#8217;Alene Idaho where dad opened a small engine and repair shop and mom opened a denim retail shop. They finally retired and moved back to Bozeman in 1991 and to Belgrade in 2001. Dad passed away in 2008 and mom stayed in Belgrade tending to the home and growing flowers. She moved to the Bozeman Lodge in July of this year where she resided until her death. In her short stay at the Lodge, she acquired many friends. She especially enjoyed her walks with Lois and their many conversations. Mom was the best wife, mother and friend anyone could be blessed with. When the field needed plowed, she would plow it. When the dinner needed cooked, she cooked it and when our hearts were broken she would mend them. She has always had a deep belief in God and we know that she is in His company today. Pauline is survived by her children Glenda (Ron) Myrstol , Keith (Pam) Kirscher, Karen (Lee) Anderson , her grandchildren Stephanie (Kevin) Ray, Denese(Tom) Lingle, Jason Myrstol, Maggie Grace Kirscher. Her great grandchildren are Haley Conners, Bailee Willet, Adam Andrew Lingle and Kaden Myrstol. Her brother Leo Jahner, sisters Jean Herauf and Mary Ann (Bob) Anner, dads sister Iris (William) McCampbell and numerous nieces and nephews. Pauline was preceded in death by: her husband, Vernon, her son Dale and her brothers Mike, Ralph, Vincent Jahner and one sister Tillie Booke. A special thank you to the angels at Hospice of Southwest Montana for helping mom on her journey. Mom, Friend, Grandma, Kirscher, Polly Pocket, Kirsch, Gunny: thank you for being a role model and for making our days brighter with your love. May the Lord be with you.
