Pauline 'June' Duggan

June 15, 1924 — February 12, 2012

Pauline “June” Duggan, of Bozeman, passed away on Feb 12, 2012. She was born June 15, 1924 in London, England to Samuel Paul Murner and Violet Maud Dennis. June was raised and educated in London. Living and working through the Blitz in London during World War II, she met John Beecher Duggan, who was serving with US Forces in Europe. They married in London on December 11, 1943; and a year later their first daughter Janet was born. Following the war, they settled near John’s home in Knoxville, TN. A few years later in 1950 they “moved West” to Livingston, MT. A second daughter, Patricia, was born there. June worked for years as a fly-tyer at Dan Bailey’s Fly Shop. A move to Santa Fe, NM, lasted but a year, and they returned to Bozeman. June worked as a hostess for McDonalds, and for many happy years as a Breakfast Hostess at the Hampton Inn. She was “Junebug” to all who knew her, due to her outgoing bubbly personality. Over the years June had enjoyed playing tennis and knitting. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Parish in Bozeman. June was preceded in death by her parents, and recently by her husband. Survivors include: daughters Janet (Girvan Patterson) Duggan of Ottawa, Canada and Patricia (Terry) Sharrer of Waterford, VA; grandchildren Jennifer Godbold, Nicholas Sharrer and Alex Sharrer: and great-granddaughters Zoe Godbold and Ella Rose Godbold. A Memorial Mass for June and John Duggan will be held in June, and the family plans a “Celebration of Life” for their parents at that time.
