Maxine worked at the Faulk County Court House and at Soconey Oil Co. in South Dakota. Her love for children led her to be the school secretary at Holy Rosary School and Longfellow School where she worked for 20 years. Maxine loved dancing, reading, playing cards, bowling and walking. In her youth she danced to Count Basie. She volunteered at the Museum of the Rockies and Mountain View Care Center. She was a board member at the Bozeman Senior Center and loved working at Second Hand Rose. Maxine was a long standing member of Resurrection Parrish. She adored her two great granddaughters, Fiona and Honora Mundy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud; mother, Florence; brother, Keith Moad and grandson, Kevin Mundy. At Maxine’s request, there will be no funeral service, however, all are welcome to a Celebration Open House at Aspen Pointe on Monday, February 27, 2012 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. to remember her. Maxine loved the community at Aspen Pointe and Birchwood where she lived for 4 years. The staff and residents were special to her. In Maxine’s words, “They are so good to me here, this is where I belong.” The last weeks were made much easier because of the loving, gentle care extended by the staff from Hospice of Southwest Montana. Memorials may be made in Maxine’s name to Hospice of Southwest Montana (1600 Ellis St. #3A, Bozeman, MT 59715), Resurrection Parish, or any organizations of choice.
