Mary Ann Harris

July 9, 1958 — January 13, 2019

Mary Ann (Healy) Harris of Bozeman, MT, went to be with the Lord January 13, 2019. Mary Ann was born July 9, 1958, to Con and Aggie Healy in Butte, MT.

Mary Ann graduated from Butte Central Catholic High School in 1977. She graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1982. While attending MSU, she met the love of her life Rusty Harris and they were married on October 16, 1982. The first 22 years of their marriage together they lived in San Luis Obispo, CA. While in California, they became parents to two wonderful daughters, Ashley and Julianne. Mary Ann's greatest passions were being a mother and an active volunteer in her children's classrooms at Old Mission School. She was also very proud to be 100% Irish and very much enjoyed exploring her Irish heritage. Mary Ann always gave more than she received and was the foundation and strength of her family.

Mary Ann and her family returned to Bozeman, MT, in 2005 to fulfill a lifelong dream of living across the street from her twin sister and only a short drive from her other siblings. Mary Ann enjoyed spending time at her family cabin on Hauser Lake near Helena, MT. She also loved hosting family gatherings and holiday celebrations. Mary Ann was known for being a warm and welcoming hostess who made everyone feel at home. She was also passionate about her faith and was an active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Mary Ann's professional career as a registered nurse spanned over 30 years with active licenses in both Montana and California. While in Montana, Mary Ann worked at both Benefis Medical and MSU Montana Team Nutrition. Both careers allowed her to pursue her interest in health and wellness.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband Rusty and her two daughters, Ashley Mancuso (Joey) and Julianne Harris, and her precious granddaughter Makenna Mancuso. She also has five siblings, John Healy (Patti) of Butte, MT, Con Healy (Donna) of Spokane, WA, Rose Hanson (Bill) of Bozeman, MT, Kathy Gould (Rich) of Federal Way, WA, and Patty McGeehan (Dan) of Butte, MT. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Del Harris of East Helena, MT, brother-in-law Les Harris (Laura) of Helena, MT, and sister-in-law Kim Harris (Angela) of Colorado Springs, CO. She also has numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
