Martyna "Marty" S. Wallace

Martyna “Marty” S. Wallace passed away March 9, 2019 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Marty was born February 18, 1925 in Temiscaming, Quebec Canada to Martin and Ruth Salmonson.



She grew up in Temiscaming and graduated from Nurse’s training at Civic Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario in 1946 as a Registered Nurse.



Marty was married in 1950 in Mesa, Arizona. She had two children; Jean Wallace Ellis (Tom) and John Wallace (Beth), and had three grandchildren; Scott Wallace, Rachel Henderson and Aaron Henderson.



She spent 47 years in Nursing from the Operating Room, ER, and as a Floor Nurse. She then became a Director of Nursing. Our Mom worked hard to raise her children as a single parent. Rapidly rising through the “ranks,” she finished her career as the Director of Nursing in several hospitals in New York, Arizona, California and New Mexico. Martyna was also a Field Inspector for the State of Arizona.
