Mark Sullivan

March 16, 1955 — July 11, 2009

Mark C. Sullivan, an extraordinarily kind, gentle soul passed away ever so peacefully at home with his wife and sister by his side on July 11, 2009. Mark was born to Jere and Elsie Sullivan on March 16, 1955. His parents raised him to strive to be the best at whatever he chose to do and, as well, sparked his passion for travel, particularly to places with beaches. Over the course of his life, Mark was most proud to have achieved the status of Eagle Scout, built his business (TCS, Inc.), and was honored to serve as board member for both The Boys and Girls Club and Sky Federal Credit Union. While his accomplishments were many, Mark always referred to himself as #8220;#8230;just a telephone man.#8221; Mark loved and found peace at his cabin in The Crazies that he built by hand with #8220;his girls#8221; and with the help of many friends. He particularly loved hunting, fishing and playing poker with his buddies: remarkably he was fortunate enough to float the Smith River 26 years in a row. Mark is survived by his wife Susan with whom he shared 34 years of adventure and his beloved daughters Laura and Kelley, who share both his desire to be the best at what they do and his quest for adventure. He is also survived by his siblings Jere (Sandy) Sullivan, Barry Sullivan, Ellen (Gilbert) Ansolabehere, and Greg (April) Sullivan, his nephew and nieces Jesse and Elizabeth Sullivan, McKynzie and Madison Ring, and Sarah Woods. Along with his family, he will be sorely missed by his dear friends (you know who you are) as he has left a whole in each of our universes. Continue to honor Mark#8217;s philosophy of life, which is: #8220;#8230;every day is a brand new day.#8221; Join us for a celebration of Mark#8217;s life at the Gallatin Gateway Inn on Saturday, July 18th, at 10:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mark#8217;s memory may be made to either The Evergreen Chapter of the ALS Society, 19110 66th Ave. South, #G101, Kent, WA 98032 or The Boys and Girls Club of SW Montana, 600 Bridger Drive, Bozeman, MT 59715. If you would like to share personal memories of times spent with Mark, please e-mail them to wisull@aol.com. #8220;Do not seek death. Death will find you. But seek the road which makes death a fulfillment#8221; -Dag Hammarskjold The family and friends of Mark C. Sullivan would like to thank Dr. John Neustadt for giving us hope Dr. Anders Persson and Sarah Levea for giving us compassionate care and Bozeman Deaconess Hospice and specifically Ann, Mary, Linda, Sauni, Jane, and Edie for giving us peace.
