Marian Ruth (Henry) Cook, 82, of Gresham, Oregon passed away quietly in her sleep on Sunday, September 20, 2009. Marian was born on August 27, 1927 in Laurel, Montana to Conrad and Sophie (Hettinger) Henry. She was raised in Laurel and it was there that she married Ken A. Cook on August 31, 1946. She worked as a nurse, a homemaker, and later, a realtor. She moved to the Gresham/Troutdale area in 1985. Marian was a member of the Good Shepherd Community Church and Riverside Church in Oregon, and the First Presbyterian Church in Bozeman, Montana. She was also involved with the Montana Ambassador, Bozeman Chamber of Commerce, and the Troutdale Chamber of Commerce. She was an active member of the Montana Cross-Country Model T Association. She loved camping, hunting and fishing with her family, as well as riding motorcycles and snowmobiles. She also coordinated the Annual Rummage Sale for the First Presbyterian Church for many years. Marian will be remembered for her absolutely passionate love for her family. Survivors include her children, Homer T. Cook of Palm Desert, CA, Terry Cook of Troutdale, OR, Shauna Beach of Troutdale, Dawna Dufek of Portland, OR, Barry Cook of Boring, OR, Robin Cook of Gresham, OR, and Joyce Armstrong of Helena, MT; twelve grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Ken A. Cook, and her siblings, Robert Henry and LaDonna Foos. A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Good Shepherd Community Church in Boring, OR. Interment will take place at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Bozeman, MT. A Memorial service will follow interment at 11:00 am at Dahl Funeral Chapel in Bozeman.
