Lois C. Beebe, 94, of Belgrade, MT passed away June 17th. She was born June 14, 1919 in New London, CT to Irvin D. and Daisy P. Capwell. Lois attended local schools and graduated from Chapman Technical High School in the class of 1936. After her graduation she worked as a medical assistant for 7 years. Lois was united in marriage to David M. Beebe on March 27, 1943; together they raised their daughter Kathleen. Lois was an active member of the Second Congregational Church; she was a Girl Scout leader, and a volunteer at L & M Hospital. She also worked as a receptionist/medical assistant in various medical and dental offices for many years. Upon David’s retirement, Lois and David moved to Pompano Beach, Florida in 1979. Lois had many close friends there and was very active in the local Presbyterian Church. She also served as Treasurer of her Condominium Association for 20 years. After David’s death in 1991, Lois made a courageous move to Montana in 2004 to be near her family. Survivors include her daughter Kathleen Lundberg of Bozeman; three grandchildren Scott (Jana) Lundberg of Bozeman, Megan (Joseph) Jacks of Belgrade, and Matthew (Misty) Lundberg of Indiana; five great- grandchildren Mikaela, Jakob and Vanessa Lundberg of Bozeman; Reese and Madeline Jacks of Belgrade; her sister Mildred Paladino of Pawcatuck, CT and two nieces, Connie Butler and Carol Gibb. A memorial service will be held at Dahl Funeral Chapel at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 29th, burial in family plot at the Jordan Cemetery near New London, CT at 11 AM on Monday, July 1, 2013 Memorials may be made in her name to: Hospice of c/o of the Bozeman Deaconess Foundation, 931 Highland Blvd, Suite 3200, Bozeman, MT 59715, or Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter, P.O. 11390, Bozeman, MT 59719.
