Linda Wilson

Linda Cathryn Wilson returned home to her heavenly father on September 30, 2009. She was born on March 21, 1952, the first of three daughters born to Dale LeRoy and Mary Ann Johnson in Des Moines, Iowa. Growing up she lived in Iowa, Michigan, Ohio and New York. Linda graduated from Amherst High School, Amherst, New York and attended Ohio University for her freshman year. She earned college degrees from Alfred State College in Business Management and Cornell University in Nutritional Sciences and Human Development. Linda was a loving and devoted mother, the role she cherished most, and was most important to her. She was always actively engaged in the lives of her children and devoted all her time and energy to raising independent, capable, and caring human beings. Her children were her greatest source of joy and contentment. Linda gave birth to her two oldest sons, Jeremy Aaron and Justin Collin during her first marriage to Gerald Dietrich. Linda was married and sealed for time and eternity to Daniel Alan Wilson on August 11, 1990 at the Los Angeles, California Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and gave birth to two more beautiful children: Wade Alan and Jessica Lee. The family resided in New York, Iowa, California, and Montana. During her life Linda worked for Empire Bank, Quantum Analysis, SCI Corporation, and Macy#8217;s Department stores. Additionally, she owned and managed Diet Center Franchises and Zenvi, LLC. Furthermore, she was always active in volunteer and community work. She was a NY State certified EMT ambulance volunteer, Docent at the Museum of the Rockies, and volunteered with the American Heart Association, American Cancer Association, Boy Scouts of America, Parent Associations and church callings. She was a devoted friend and neighbor who often opened her home to children and friends needing support and help. Linda loved adventure, the outdoors and travel. She was able to travel to all continental US states and Hawaii. She also traveled internationally to Jamaica, Canada, Mexico and New Zealand. She loved hiking, jogging, dancing, skiing and backpacking. She backpacked while visiting numerous National Parks including Volcano National Park, Zion, Glacier, Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, and throughout New Zealand. Linda is survived by her husband of 19 years, Daniel Wilson; her three sons, Jeremy Dietrich, New York; Justin Dietrich, California; and Wade Wilson, Montana; and her daughter, Jessica Wilson, Montana. She is also survived by her two younger sisters, Susan Kay Robbins and Karen Ann Brown of New York and their families, and numerous nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters in- law. Services will be held on Oct 12, 2009 at 1:00 PM in Bozeman, MT at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In lieu of flowers donations can be made on behalf of her two school age children, Wade and Jessica Wilson.
