Katherine "Kay" Callantine

Katherine “Kay” Callantine passed away at home August 15, 2016, at the age of nearly 92.

She was born September 2, 1924, to A.K. and Elsie Dahl and raised in Rhame, North Dakota. After meeting Chuck, while attending college in Bozeman, they were married October 5, 1944. She has ranched with her family at Pass Creek since. Four children and their families survive her.

Grant (Barb Secora) has three children: Ann Marie (Jon) Cherry and grandchildren Megan (Ben), Bridger, Hunter, and Hannah; Tracy (Randy) Yale and grandchildren Jacob and Marcos; and Skye (Kambria). Lyn (Bob) Morton's family includes Cole(Carrie) and grandchildren Audrey and Callan; Clay (Kellie) and grandchildren Aidan and Kieran; and Scotta. Kelly (Sam) and Jake(Jane) and daughters Catherine and Krista live on the family ranch.

Chuck, son Scott, infant daughter Nora, and brother Donald preceded Kay in death.

A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, August 18, at 7 pm at the Pass Creek Community Center.
