Karlene Olson Byers

Karlene Olson Byers, 81, of Bozeman, passed away February 14, 2020. As her wishes, her body has been cremated. Services will be in Harlowton at a later date.



Karlene Olson Byers was born in Harlowton on November 29, 1938 to James and Dorothy Gibson. On October 20, 1954 she was united in marriage to Dewey Olson. They raised five children: Debi, Jerry, Joan, James, and Jolene. Dewey passed away in September 1989. Karlene remarried Carl Byers and he preceded her in death.



Karlene left behind her children: Debi (Kevin) Pierce of Three Forks, Jerry (Mary) Olson of Three Forks, Joan (Larry) Brooke of Pony, James (Birdie) Olson of Laurel and Jolene (Todd) Chickering of Eldon, Iowa; 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; and sister Jackie Barlow.



She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dewey; two sisters, Lorraine Gibson and Willie Swallow; an infant brother Ralph Raymond Gibson;and one great grandchild, Alissa.



Memorials can be made out to Holy Rosary Catholic Church and sent to Jerry Olson at 1390 Lane Rd, Three Forks, MT 59752.
