Karen Neibauer

November 20, 1939 — March 5, 2008

Our sweet, darling mother and friend to all, Karen Neibauer (Lynch) of Bozeman, went to be with Jesus on March 5th surround by her loving family members and her newest family at Elsie#8217;s assisted living. She was 68 years old. Karen spent her childhood in Shelby, later moving to Belgrade where her father opened Lynch Flying service, later he moved the family and the business to Billings. There she attended Fratt Catholic Grade School, and later Billings Central Catholic High School. While in high school she was told by the nuns that she had a calling, a vocation to become a nun. Luckily for us she didn#8217;t choose that path. Karen fell in love with a farm boy named Jack. They were married on December 3rd, 1960 in Billings at Saint Patrick#8217;s Co-Cathedral. They moved to Bozeman with their first three children in 1967 and had two more shortly after. Karen has a beautiful soul; she was a loving caring mother, wife, and friend to all. She would pray over her children every night while they slept. She spent her life taking care of others. She enjoyed spending endless hours working in her yard, praying the Rosary, and spending time with her Church family At a young age she was diagnosed with breast cancer that metastised to her brain, they gave her no hope to live. All who knew Karen know her unquenchable love for the Lord and he gave her another 40 years to be with her family and many friends. All those who knew and loved her, often commented that she was a saint. She always greeted everyone with a smile and there were no strangers to her. She could walk up to anyone and talk them and kiss all the babies that she could get her lips on! Karen loved to dance, and we know she is dancing in heaven with Jack and all her loved ones who have preceded her. Her family and friends her on earth will miss her dearly, but they rejoice that she is whole and happy in heaven. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack, parents; sister Marieta Palmershiem, and Brother Denny Lynch. She is survived by her children: Jacque (Monte) Thelen of Strasburg, Co, Rob ( Brandi) Neibauer, of Olympia, WA, Nicky (Tuck) Reier, Mike Neibauer both of Bozeman and Chris (Karen) Neibauer, of Vancouver, WA; her brother Tom and Rosie Lynch of Billings, sister Loy Weldon of Bainbridge, WA and brother Pat and Carol Lynch of Billings; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The rosary and vigil service will start at 6:30 pm Friday, Mach 7, 2008 at Dahl Funeral Chapel - Bozeman. The funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00 am, Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Bozeman. Private family interment to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
