Jack W. Greenway, Jr. of Bozeman passed away suddenly on February 1, 2008. He was born to Jack and Mary Greenway on August 29, 1948 in Norman, Oklahoma. Raised in a military family, they traveled extensively. The family moved to Montana in 1965, where he graduated from Bozeman Senior High in 1966. Following in his fathers#8217; footsteps he soon enlisted in the Army. After basic, he attended aviation training and served in Vietnam. After his service, he returned to Bozeman, graduated from Montana State University. After graduation, he joined the Gallatin county Sheriff#8217;s office where, among his duties, he serviced as the firearms instructor. He was also known, unofficially as the historian. He retired from the Sheriff#8217;s office in 2000 after 24 years. He found a passion for rifle marksmanship while in high school and set numerous junior national records while in Alaska. He was a member of the Bozeman Rifle Club and Support of the Greenway Range, name for his father. Jack was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is preceded in death by his mother and father. Survivors include his daughter Jennifer (Chance) Briones of West Richland, WA; his son Jacob Greenway of Conrad, MT, grandson and granddaughter Taylor and Skylar Briones and his sister Cheryl Greenway of Bozeman and numerous cousins. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
