Inez Jones

October 26, 1918 — August 31, 2008

Inez Jones, 89, of Bozeman, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 31, 2008 at the Gallatin Rest Home. She was born to Robert and Hattie Burnett, in Tuskahoma, OK on October 26, 1918. The Burnetts moved to Clarkston, WA, when she was a youngster. It was there she met and married M.E. Bud Jones. Her husband was a very prominent in the forest products industry. They and their children lived in various towns in Idaho, California, Washington, and Montana. Inez's life was her family and home. Making sure that her children were raised in a comfortable home, loving environment, and with proper values, was paramount to her. In Bozeman a lot of people maybe did not know her name, but were touched by her caring and helpful ways, when she was the manager of Waddell's AAA Storage for so many years in the '70's - '80's. It was surprising the number of people we would meet, that in the context of conversation they would say, Oh that nice lady is your mother. Inez is survived by her children Mel (Wilma) Jones of Manhattan, MT, Jim (Barb) Jones of Bozeman, Ruth Jones of Grand Island, NB; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Inez was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her 3 sisters, her brother, 1 grandchild and 1 great-grandchild. Inez was the last of her lineage of Burnetts. In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to Gallatin Rest Home, 1221 W. Durston, Bozeman, MT 59715. A graveside memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Family and friends please meet at 1:45 pm at Dahl Funeral Chapel to process together to the cemetery. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at dahlcares.com
