H. Neil Parker

H. #8220;Neil#8221; Parker, 77, of Bozeman passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2010 from Mesothelioma. Neil was born in Baker, Montana on October 10, 1933, the son of the late Alfred and Dorothy Parker. He attended school in Fromberg, graduating in 1950. Following graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy and served from 1952 to 1955. Upon returning to Fromberg, he met and married Ann Wall in 1958. In 1959, Neil began working for Burroughs Company as a computer technician until 1979. Over the next few years, he owned and operated Fennhaven Motel in West Yellowstone, ran the local Culligan dealership and worked in sales at Mountain Supply. From 1993 to 2009, he worked at Williams Plumbing, Heating and Utilities. The couple had a son, H. Wayne Parker, in 1959, a son, H. Bruce Parker, in 1961, and in 1963, a daughter, Teresa Brown. Neil was a member of De Molay and of the Masonic lodge. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing courses all over the west with his sons and his friends. He also loved to go fishing with his wife along Gallatin Valley River. He loved watching sports and was a regular season ticket holder to MSU Bobcat basketball. He watched pro football and, once a year, would go to a Denver Bronco game with his son, Bruce. Survivors include his wife, Ann; sons, H. Wayne (Karen) of Bozeman and H. Bruce of Brier, WA; daughter, Teresa (Gary) Brown of Kent, WA; sisters, Jean Hodges of Bridger, MT, Jewell (Jack) Swan of Cheney, WA, and Anita Buzzy of Lewistown, MT; grandchildren, Ryan and Brittney Parker, Miranda Tucker, and Justin and Corey Brown; and great-grandchildren, Molly, Jason, and Connor. Memorials in Neil#8217;s name may be made to the Bozeman Deaconess Cancer Center, 931 Highland Blvd, Bozeman, MT 59715. At his request, no services will be held.
