Daniel Christopher Roy, 44, of Bozeman, passed away October 25, 2012. He was born May 24, 1968 in Minneapolis, MN to Joseph Roy and Judith (Gretz) Roy. While in high school he moved to Encinitas, CA and graduated from San Diequito High School. He attended the University of California, San Diego and then transferred to the University of Montana in Missoula earning a degree in wildlife biology. He worked for Glacier National Park and for Grand Canyon National Park. In 2002, he moved to Bozeman where he worked for the Gallatin National Forest. Dan loved spending time in the great outdoors, climbing mountains, backpacking, skiing, and being with his son on scouting adventures. Dan and his son Walker enjoyed the camaraderie of the Bozeman Scouting community and Dan was a boy scout himself. Survivors include his son Walker Roy of Bozeman, MT; his father and step-mother Joseph and Nancy Roy of Payson, AZ; his mother Judith Roy of Minneapolis, MN; his former wife Kathy Adams of Bozeman, MT and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
