Cova Stout

September 30, 1917 — May 22, 2010

Cova Marie Stout, 92, passed away on May 22, 2010 to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born in Huff, Kentucky, on September 30, 1917, the eldest of 11 children to William M. and Ada Hays. Marie cherished her family, always with a kind word or gesture. She was always enthusiastic with a positive outlook on life. Her family, faith and friends were her whole life. In her early days she loved to dance. She loved playing cards with her friends and dominoes with her grandchildren. She loved the mountains and Montana. Marie was a volunteer at the Museum of the Rockies and at the Bozeman Senior Center for many years. She and her husband, Willis Lee (Bud) Stout Sr., traveled extensively, both here and abroad. Marie is survived by her husband, Bud; children, Glenn (Diane) Bailes, Willis (Nancy) Stout Jr., Anna Louise Hoeback; four grandchildren, Clayton Bailes, Graham Bailes, Donna Marie Clark, Angie (Scott) Crawford; four great grandchildren; sisters, Nova Rhodes, Inis Smith, Iva Barrett, Betty Steff; and brothers, Carlos and John Hays; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William E., Oval and Elmer Hays; sister, Anna Hays; and grandchild Willis Lee Stout III. We shall forever be grateful for her kindness and miss her greatly. Memorials may be made in her name to Kirkwood Baptist Church, 309 S 15th St, Bozeman, MT 59715, (406)586-0488. Memorial services will be held at Dahl Funeral Chapel, 300 Highland Blvd, at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 29, 2010.
